Find support

Two routes: a recovery meeting (AA, NA, SMART and similar) or a support group (peer-led, no fellowship affiliation). Both are listed below. Both are free. Most welcome you turning up without booking. If you need to speak with someone immediately, the crisis numbers are further down.

Recovery meetings

Recovery meetings across the UK. AA, NA, SMART Recovery, CA, OA. Most have open meetings welcome to anyone, including people who are not in recovery themselves.

Support groups

Peer-led groups across the UK. Mens circles, bereavement, separation, fatherhood, general support. Most operate on a turn-up basis. Sharing is optional.

Crisis

If you are in crisis, the routes below are immediate.

Other routes

If what you need isn’t a meeting or a group:

  • For clinical mental-health support: your GP is the route into NHS mental-health services. Or NHS 111 call 111 and select the mental health option.
  • For domestic abuse: Mens Advice Line · 0808 801 0327
  • For housing: Shelter · 0808 800 4444

About this page

Mens Network lists groups and meetings — it does not provide support itself. The numbers above are independent organisations. If you call them, we do not see it.

Recovery meetings and support groups listed on the platform are peer-led, not clinical. If you need a therapist or a psychiatrist, your GP is the route. The numbers above stay open while you wait for that.
